Hair & Beauty
Weddings-With-Style Top Tips to a beautiful bride:
- Countdown: six months before the special day you should be
thinking about your hair and beauty, think about how you want
to look for your big day and start making preparations.

- Water is great for you so make sure you drink plenty! Drinking
1.5 litres of water per day, will make your skin clearer, kidneys
more efficient, and cellulite less noticeable. To reduce cellulite
further it is advisable to reduce intake of tea, coffee and
alcohol and replace with detox teas which are available from
all good supermarkets and health outlets.
- Food is also a major issue within beauty preparations, so
make sure you eat a balanced diet, Try and reduce sugary snacks
and swap chocolate and biscuits for fruit and veg with low calorie
dips. Fruit sugars perk up energy levels so when tired, so keep
peeled raw vegetables and fruit in the fridge for when hunger
strikes!
- Sleep is very important as it keeps stress levels lower and
energy levels higher, essential oils such as ylang-ylang and
lavender in an aromatherapy burner or on a pillow can help relax
you. Remember lots of early nights will also reduce stress levels.
- Cosmetic surgery and dentistry is an option for some people,
and many choose to have teeth whitening either by using self
brought kits or by speaking to the dentist. For perfect feet
visit a chiropodist, and for that extra something you could
always consider other cosmetic treatments, but make sure you
visit months before in order for treatments to be carried out
in plenty of time.

- Health and fitness is a fun way to lose weight or just tone
up to look extra stunning in that bridal own. If budget allows
then join a gym or hire a fitness trainer, if not just take
up walking or running in your local park. Try swimming as often
as possible or relax with yoga or pilates exercises, all of
these will help fitness and toning.
- Fresh air is great for the body and soul, so go outdoors as
much possible, cycling, walking or running will increase tone
and fitness levels and energy and make you feel good about yourself.
But remember it’s not about how much weight you loose it’s about
how you feel.
- Beauty is important on the outside and in, try having spas
and massages to help relax. Book a pedicure and manicure before
the day and remember to exfoliate your face and body regularly,
as well as applying nail and hand moisturiser and cleanse, tone
and moisturise everyday. Book a professional make up artist
and have a trial before the big day so you can discuss needs
and requirements. Make sure you book early, as reputable artists
get booked up months in advance. Having makeup done professionally
will make all the difference on your wedding photos, and most
importantly will make you feel extra special on your big day.
- Hairstyles are also important so make sure you decide what
you want and work towards that style, e.g. growing hair if you
want it pinned up for the big day. Make sure you have regular
trims and condition your hair on a regular basis. Professional
hairdressers also get booked up in advance so book early to
avoid disappointment. Having your hair done professionally will
also
make all difference in photos and make you feel great.
- Relaxation and fun are important throughout your wedding planning
and especially throughout the day. It is important to take time
for yourself and spend time with friends. Take time doing your
favourite hobbies such as walking and reading. Try meditation
when times get stressful, or have a nice hot bubble bath and
the occasional glass of wine.
- The Day will be upon you before you know it, and you will
want to be glowing with health and happiness. All eyes will
be on you, so be pampered on the day, stop worrying, relax and
have a glass of champagne, you deserve it!
